Online Workshop: Writing Uncertain Memory

Writers Victoria

23 July, 2022, 10am – 4pm AEST

Controversies regarding truth in memoir are as old as the genre itself. It is no surprise then that memory and the challenges it presents—formal, ethical, and strategic—make for rich literature. This workshop will consider various literary models and approaches to writing unremembered memory, contested memory, and collective, historical memory. Though we will be studying nonfiction prose in this workshop, fiction, poetry and cross-genre students are welcome to attend.
