24 July, 11a.m. – 1p.m.
In this online two-hour creative nonfiction workshop, participants will explore two distinct life-writing subgenres: memoir and the personal essay. They will learn to identify strategies commonly used in these genres, using examples provided in-class. Participants will also begin developing a new work of creative writing of their own, based on prompts given during the session.
The workshop will be broken into three lessons across the two-hour session, with short breaks between, and a final session for sharing and questions. All materials will be provided.
This event has been organised by the Inner Gippsland Write-ability group, and is made possible by Writers Victoria and the Grace Marion Wilson Trust. It is available FREE to people in Gippsland with a disability. All resources will be provided in Microsoft Word format for enlargement and accessibility by screen-readers, and the event will be Auslan interpreted.
